Law22 Founder, Fadi K. Amer, Esq. was invited as a guest lecturer at USC’s Marshall School of Business. Mr. Amer provided valuable insight in the MBA Entrepreneurial course “Cases in Feasibility Analysis”. The course prepares MBA candidates to create a feasibility plan for a new venture of their choosing. Professor Helena Yli-Renko, PhD and Professor of Entrepreneurial Studies at USC invited Mr. Amer to provide legal guidance for aspiring entrepreneurs. Mr. Amer covered some of the key issues and hidden challenges that many start-ups face during the early and developmental stages of their business life cycle. In particular, Mr. Amer urged the students to focus on the fundamentals rather than the technicalities, and to maintain a clear relationship between themselves and their business partners.

Subsequent to Mr. Amer’s lecture, Dr. Yli-Renko remarked, “this was the most engaging and insightful session on entrepreneurial legal issues I’ve ever had in my classes!” Mr. Amer was also presented with USC Grief Center’s Distinguished Speaker Award. An attendee at the lecture, Cody Thacker, an MBA student and former practicing attorney, commented, “Mr. Amer had very useful and informative points. Even as a criminal law attorney, I was not exposed to the real issues in the business law world. I now have more insight as to the common pitfalls and how to avoid them when starting my own business.”
